Your private Waikoloa Village home — by the month, or the season.

Nestled in the quiet of Waikoloa Village, Hale Akaʻula sits 800 feet above sea level — a short 6-mile drive from the Kohala Coast's resorts, beaches, and shopping, yet above the noise, mosquitoes, and heat of the coastline. Reserved by the month, the entire home is yours alone. Our standard rate is $6,900 per month plus tax — and through January 1, 2027, open dates are discounted to $4,900 plus tax, about $158 a night for the whole property.

Discover the unique features that make experiencing our home,
truly unforgettable.
Family time, or me-time
Host family gatherings or enjoy quiet nights in a home away from home.
Hale Akaʻula works just as well for two as for a full house: eight sleep comfortably across three bedrooms, and there's room to gather up to 12 for meals and celebrations.
Three full bedrooms (King, Queen, Queen) sleep six, with a queen roll-away couch and fold-out twins for larger family groups.
Gourmet Kitchen & Cooking
A kitchen built for a month, not a weekend — double ovens, two refrigerators, and a full island with prep sink. Room to store a real grocery run, cook a real dinner, and eat it looking at the ocean.
The Perfect Climate
Waikoloa Village, and Hale Akaʻula sits 800 feet above the coast, offering a cooler, drier climate — typically 3 to 6°F lower than Waikoloa Beach and the surrounding resort areas. That elevation means fewer mosquitoes, no roaring air conditioning, and lower humidity, creating breezy, bite-free evenings that are ideal for quiet nights on the lanai, restful sleep, and long comfortable stays.
Exclusive Experience
Hale Akaʻula is not a nightly vacation condo. It's a luxury home that gives twelve or fewer reservations a year an exclusive Hawaiʻi experience — thoughtfully designed spaces, elegant decor, and high-quality furnishings throughout.
